To gain control of the US House of Representative the Democrats need a net gain of fifteen seats. The party have focused it’s financial support on a a handful of key districts at the expense of excellent candidates in tougher races. Now it looks like the Democrats may win twenty-five or thirty seats in Congress. James Carville thinks that the party now needs to help some previously ignored Democratic challengers. Funding these campaigns would capitalize on the current political environment and maximize the candidates chances of winning. Carville believe that the Democratic Party should go to the bank and barrow five to ten million dollars for this effort.
I hope that the Party follows Carville advice and decides to “bet the farm” on sweeping Congress!
