Debate to be Double-Header

I have just learned that the 1st District Missouri House debate is part of a couble-header. Prior to the Hecks & Munzlinger debate, Democrat Wes Shoemyer and Republican Bob Behnen will face off a 18th District Senate debate. The debates will be held on October 17th on the campus of Culver-Stockton College in Canton. From 6:00-6:30 there will be a televised candidate forum with local media representative Then from 6:30, the candidates will answer questions from the audience. The Q& A session is to be moderated by sponsor group, American Association of University Women. After a break, the televised candidate forum with Beau and Munzlinger will begin at seven-fifteen. It will follow the pattern of the Senate debate. But the post debate Q&A session is described as “questions from the audience screened by the AAUW.” Beau and Wes will both be around after the event to talk with people. Past performance suggests that Munzlinger and Behnen will take French leave as soon a the program is over.
